Coalition members and JABSOM medical students Ana Danko and Heather Zimmerman recently presented a poster about the Coalition’s Sun Safety Hawai’i initiative.

Visiting scientists from Japan and JABSOM faculty viewed their poster at the 2024 Noguchi Humanism, Empathy, Social Justice, and Global Health Symposium this past February. The students described a recent presentation where sun safety and skin cancer prevention methods were shared with 70 fourth-grade students at an O’ahu Elementary school, using culturally representative imagery of Hawai’i.
